In 1757, Alaung-hpaya stormed Pegu, uniting Burma under his rule. In the same year Frederick the Great of Prussia, fighting in what became to be known as the seven year's ward, defeated his French and Austrian oponents at Rossbach and Leuthen. Both were important campaigns in the history of the 18th century warfare.
